TV anime series Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru (刀剣乱舞-花丸-) will return in 2017 after more than a year of of absence. On the anime’s twitter page, it is revealed that the new name of the sequel and a compilation movie have already been decided.
▍ Zoku – Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru
The sequel named Zoku – Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru (続『刀剣乱舞-花丸-』) is coming January 2018. It is currently directed by Tomoaki Koshida (Gintama) at Doga Kobo. The script is written by Lightworks and the characters are designed by Jyunichirou Tanigichi (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru).
▍ Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru – Makuai kaisouroku
The compilation movie called Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru – Makuai kaisouroku (『刀剣乱舞-花丸-』～幕間回想録～) will run from 1st December to 14th December at 21 theatres in Japan.
▍ CD & Blu-ray
The anime soundtrack sold on 6th December will have a total of 12 songs, including a new track for the movie. The CD also contains the Blu-ray disc of Hanamaru’s opening and ending animation.
