Upcoming TV anime Houseki no Kuni (宝石の国) reveals a teaser trailer for the first time today (23rd June), revealing that it is directed by Love Live! director Takahiko Kyogoku.
Joining the famous director is also another Live Live! crew member, character designer Asako Nishida, as well as story editor Toshiya Ono, who is one of the scriptwriters for Blue Exorcist. The anime is in production at Orange studio.
Adapted from Haruko Ichikawa’s (市川春子) slice of life manga, Houseki no Kuni tells the story of 28 gems who take the form of human beings and their battles against the people who want to use them as accessories.
The anime will be out in October this year.
