Adapted from Eto Mori’s (森絵都) novel series of the same title, upcoming sports anime DIVE!! (ダイブ) has revealed more cast members as well as and a preview video.
The new members announced are Takahiro Sakurai, who takes the role of main character Yoichi Fujitani, and Yuichi Nakamura, who is also cast as the main character, Shibuki Okitsu. Yoichi Fujitani is a prodigy diver while Shibuki Okitsu is a lone wolf who used to practise diving in the sea.
Yuki Kaji plays as the protagonist Tomoki Sakai. Other divers from the same team such as Reiji Maruyama, Ryo Ohiro, Sachiya Yoshida are voiced by Koki Uchiyama, Ryota Osaka and Yusuke Kobayashi respectively. The boys’ coach Kayoko Asaki is voiced by Kaori Nazuka and their rival diver Atsuhiko Yamada is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita.
Character design in DIVE!! is done by Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? illustrator Suzuhito Yasuda. The story focuses on Mizuki Diving Club, which has recruited a number of male middle school students and is facing disbandment. The coach and the boys strive to enter the Olympics in order to secure sponsorships and save the club.
DIVE!! will air on 6th July, 2017.
